How To Add Products in Woocommerce

• From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to “WooCommerce” in the left-hand sidebar or simply click “View Products” on the dashboard.
• Then, click the “Add New” button at the top of the screen.

• Product Name: In the title box, enter the name of your product.
• Product Description: In the main text editor, enter the full product description. This is the long description, which appears on the product page.
• Product Short Description. This text will appear next to the product image on the product page.

Below the text editor, you’ll find the “Product Data” box. Choose the product type (Simple, Grouped, External/Affiliate, or Variable).

• Simple Product: A single item with no variations.
• Variable Product: A product with variations (e.g., different sizes, colors).
• Grouped Product: A collection of related products.
• External/Affiliate Product: A product sold on another website.

Fill in the product data fields:

• General: Set your regular and sale price.
• Inventory: Manage stock and set SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) if applicable.
• Grouped Product: A collection of related products.
• Shipping: Set weight, dimensions, and shipping class.
• Linked Products: Add upsells and cross-sells.
• Attributes: Add custom attributes (especially important for Variable Products).
• Variations: (Only for Variable Products) Add variations like size, color, etc.
• Advanced: Add purchase notes and control the order.

• Product Image: Set the main product image by clicking “Set product image” on the right side in the “Product Image” box.
• Product Gallery: Add additional images in the “Product Gallery” section to showcase different angles of your product.

• On the right-hand side, assign your product to categories and tags. Categories help organize your products, and tags add more specific keywords.

• Once you’ve filled in all the product details, click the “Publish” button at the top-right corner of the page.
